Teas and Alzheimer’s disease

A recent study suggests that drinking tea, either black or green, may reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

According to Chinese medicine, Alzheimer’s disease is the result of excessive dampness and deficient heart energy. Green tea increases heart energy and black tea reduces dampness. Both teas are therefore useful not only in preventing Alzheimer’s, but also as an aid in treating it.
